The Okavango Delta is one of the world’s largest inland water systems. The Okavango Delta lies in the northwest of Botswana. Part of the Great East African Rift Valley system, the Okavango Delta is formed as the Okavango River flows into the Kalahari Desert from the Angolan highlands, creating a unique wetland, a huge oasis that sets the region’s rhythm with its annual pulses. The incredibly varied and rich eco-systems found in and around the Delta attract a stunning variety of wildlife.

Day 4: Chobe National Park

Come with us this morning for a guided game drive. We love showing off the landscapes and wildlife of Chobe National Park, and part of the excitement is about never quite knowing which animals are going to appear. After your game drive you will then have your lunch and then get ready to go for your afternoon boat cruise in Chobe National Park. A boat cruise is the ideal opportunity to relax, sit back and see the animals come to you. They are less disturbed by the sound of a boat and more relaxed, as the water is the one place where all the species need to go. Sometimes you can see many species of predators and herbivores at the river together!

Later in the afternoon, join us for a guided tour of the Nata Bird Sanctuary. The best thing to do in Nata is to visit the Nata Bird Sanctuary. It is perfectly set up to enhance your safari experience, from good restaurants, accommodations and shops, to the relaxed setting along the banks of the Thamalakane River.

Sedia Riverside Hotel is your base while you're in Maun, and it is a good one. Most of the appealing rooms have their own private terrace or balcony that looks out over the hotel's gardens, and the riverside location is a real plus.

The trip will lead through the Okavango Delta where it neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve.
